Leading online travel provider, WEBJET, announced today that it had enetered into a marketing and content alliance with Funseeker Vacation, a large US based Internet player specialising in travel and entertainment packages for the West Coast of the US.

WEBJET Managing Director, Mr David Clarke, said that the purpose of the alliance is for WEBJET to gain access to specialised US local content, and for Funseeker Vactions to leverage from WEBJET's online products and services.

Funseeker Vacations will make available to WEBJET's customers land packages and attractions on the West coast of the US in areas such as Los Angeles, San Franciso, Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe.

In exchange, WEBJET will provide its new alliance partner with access to its long haul fares fron the US to Australia.

Commenting on the alliance, Fubseeker Vacations President, Mr Palmer Farley, said, "We have been looking for some time to find an organisation in the Pacific region that has a combination of travel expertise and a sophisticated technology base that we can link with. WEBJET certainly provides us with that combination and we are very excited with the opportunities it provides to both organizations."

WEBJET ia a specialist online travel and booking service with a focused prouct position of providing immediate, accessible travel bookings 24 hours a day, seven days a week with the selling proposition of "lowest Qantas price guarenteed" anywhere in the wirld. WEBJET listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in March through an agreement with Roper River Resources NL to acquire 100 per cent of WEBJET's issued capital.
