30th April 2001

Webjet today announced a further dramatic 100% increase in bookings for
the month of April.

Weekly bookings for April averaged approximately 400 compared with an average of 183 for the quarter ended 31st March 2001, with transaction values increasing from an average of $90,000 per week to over $120,000.

Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke, said "We are extremely pleased with the continued acceleration of our business, particularly as now over 85% of our bookings are automatic where the customer completes the whole transaction themselves. If this trend can be sustained we will be able to engineer substantial annual cost reductions from the beginning of July. There is no doubt that Webjet is the fastest growing Internet travel operator in Australia and has achieved the highest automatic booking percentage in the region.

We have clearly demonstrated consumer acceptance of online travel bookings and the major price advantages available".
