Webjet today announced the results of the first month of its new marketing and advertising strategy of cost price airfares.

Launched on the 7th February the new campaign has produced spectacular results.

Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke, said "bookings for the month of February have increased by more than 300% compared with the average of December and January. Further acceleration is evident in the first week of March where so far in five days more bookings have been processed than for the whole month of December and in fact the last 2 weeks of February exceeded a 500% increase compared with the December quarter average. Site sessions have also more than doubled.

The most pleasing aspect is that the "DIY" bookings have now reached 80% of the total compared with 40% two months ago".
