Webjet Enters Last Minute Market
31st October 2002
Webjet today announced that from the beginning of November it will be entering the last minute product market. Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke, said "Unlike a number of internet players who have products of a last minute nature included in a wide range of consumer deals, e.g. flowers, chocolates etc., Webjet will be concentrating on some specifically targeted last minute travel products which offer our customers special value that can't otherwise be easily obtained, if at all. The initial range will be made up of some special domestic airfares and a range of speciality accommodation packages. They will be refreshed weekly in the lead up to Christmas as the product range expands into the new year.
"All of the products will be bookable online and will additionally provide a focus point for our broader product range, which has recently been expanded to included cruises for the Queensland resorts and the complete Accor hotel group range in Australia."
