Webjet Flies Higher In October

Webjet today confirmed that the strong quarter trend evidenced earlier in October has in fact accelerated further.
Commenting Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke said "Despite a widely reported industry downturn, our booking numbers, gross transaction values and income have continued to grow very strongly".
The month of October shows:
1. Total gross transaction values of $1.1 million (approx) and an increase of 250% on October 2000, and an increase of approx 50% on the average month in the September quarter 2001.
2. Passenger totals of over 4,000 in October, compared with 258 in October 2000, or 2,700 for the monthly average of the September quarter 2001, an increase of 50% (approx).
3. An estimated income of $80,000 (approx) compared with $22,000 in October 2000, an increase of over 350%.
Daily turnover, has in the last week peaked at approx $60,000 on several occasions, which, if continued suggests an even stronger underlying growth.
We believe our growing brand awareness is propelling a very fast take up of our services which provide our customers with rapid access to all the special airline seat deals without telephone delays. Webjet places the customer in control and the customer gets the benefit.
