Webjet Gains Altitude - December sales climb over 400%

Webjet today announced gross transaction values for December of $6.4m which compares with $1.25m for December last year, an increase of approximately 400%.
Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke said:
"The sales growth which we reported to the market for November has continued and accelerated in the month of December and that trend has further continued into the first part of January.
In common with our November release we note that the market has been significantly stimulated by domestic airline sales initiatives over the holiday period and whilst the trend has continued no forecasts are yet made for the remainder of the financial year.
On a half year to December 31 basis gross transaction values total $29.6m compared with approximately $9.6m for the same half year ended December 31, 2003".
