Webjet, Australia's leading online travel provider, today announced that its closed site, invitation only, sale on Sunday resulted in a Number One site ranking, despite major press and media advertising by Ansett, Impulse, Qantas etc.
Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke said, "Our invitation only site sale was designed to provide a special stimulation for our business development during the Olympic period, during which we have suspended our normal media advertising activities. We position, with a ranking nearly double that of the Qantas Airways internet site on Sunday, some five times the ranking of Virgin Blue, and over seven times the ranking of Travel.com. This is a powerful demonstration of our brand build, and the quality of our registered customer base".
Webjet will also be adding voice over telephony to its customer care video link, Webcam at the end of this week, which will further add to the leadership position in the provisioning of online service.
