Webjet Growth Continues

Webjet today announced gross transaction values for the quarter ended 31st December 2002 of $4.7m, compared with the same quarter the previous year of $3.0m; an increase of over 55%.
Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke, said "The first week of January has shown a further lift to an average of approximately $65,000 per day which, contrasted to the average for the last quarter, suggests a further lift of approximately 30% if current volumes are sustained.
"Whilst the January/February/March quarter is normally a strong billing quarter, there can of course be no guarantees that that will occur this year. We can only note that the quarter has started strongly at this time."
