Webjet Increases November Advertising

Encouraged by strong bookings during October (refer release) Webjet today announced acceleration of its November media advertising.
Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke said: "Webjet will be doubling its billboard locations in November with further key strategic sites selected in Melbourne and Sydney adding to its existing Perth, Melbourne and Sydney sites. The locations are all on key arterial roads with high volume traffic density.
The billboards will be supported as usual by our Qantas Inflight Magazine advertising and a substantial volume of television advertising commencing on November 4th and commencing for approximately two weeks in Melbourne and Sydney and a lesser period in Brisbane.
The media advertising will be supplemented by other tactical and online initiatives including F2 (The Fairfax interactive site) and special target market initiatives which will be released progressively during November.
We believe there is substantial demand for travel and we are seeing every evidence of an increasing and accelerating use of our services.
Whilst we are very tightly controlling expenditures relative to our budget our year to date performance gives us some latitude and flexibility in tapping into what we believe could be substantial opportunity to increase market share.
