Webjet Jumbo Bookings In August

Webjet today announced a further surge in passenger bookings for the month of August.
Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke, said "the first half of August has demonstrated a 400% increase on the corresponding period last year. We have so far this month filled the equivalent of four 747 jumbos, with 98% of all of our transactions completely online and now being operated through our integrated Customer Support Centre in Melbourne. The Centre is operating with a staff complement some 30% less than our previously outsourced arrangements, which on an annualised basis should represent cost savings in excess of $200,000 in a year.
