28th April 2000

Existing shareholders in WEBJET Ltd, Australia's leading online travel provider, will be eligible to benefit from Australia's first on-line travel company loyalty benefit program, to be launched on July 1, 2000.

Shareholders need a minimum of 20,000 shares to gain the benefits of the program which include free cancellation insurance on domestic and international bookings.

WEBJET's Managing Director, David Clarke, said today that travel insurance could amount to a large sum for frequent travellers.

"If a shareholder made 10 international trips a year, there would be a saving of $200 which would only halve for domestic travel," Mr Clarke said.

"Business travellers know only to well that frequent travel and increasing demands on schedules, challenges the most organised itineraries. Our loyalty program will be a great benefit to them.

"Similarly, cancellations are inevitable amongst the leisure sector as work demands and desire for flexibility increases," Mr Clarke said.

The program also includes double WEBJET loyalty points and priority access to special WEBJET products.

WEBJET is a pure e-commerce organisation that provides immediate, accessible, online travel 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the unique selling proposition of the 'Lowest Qantas Price Guaranteed'.
