Webjet Partners With WorldRes To Provide Online Booking Access To Hotels, Bed and Breakfasts & Inns

Australian internet travel specialists Webjet, today announced that it has entered into strategic affiliation with international online hotel reservation network, WorldRes.
The new partnership will enable Webjet to offer it's customers online, real-time access to the WorldRes hotel reservation network of more than 30,000 hotels, bed & breakfasts, inns and resorts worldwide.
According to Webjet Business Development Manager Dean Maidment, "the relationship with WorldRes is the first plank in the development of our Travel Services Aggregation platform (TSA) to be developed in conjunction with Microsoft Australia and Galileo International. To ensure that the holiday packaging platform offers customers a wide range of competitively priced accommodation options, dynamically updated content and most importantly, a real-time reservation capability, we have chosen a partner that has a proven robust technology platform and, a development path that is in line with our strategic objectives. The WorldRes announcement follows Webjets recent advice to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) that it is strengthening it's relationship with Cendant owned travel technology specialists Galileo International through an equity placement and technology development project.
