Webjet today announced the next stage of its technology rollout, with the release of the next generation booking engine produced by Penzance Technology and utilising the world's largest airline reservation system, Galileo.

Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke, said "This next stage of our technology release brings together in one engine:
- sophisticated best fare search
- fast access to Qantas Red e-deals
- the full integration of our specially negotiated international fares, Web e-deals, combined with a sophisticated calendar finder
- all international published fares from scheduled airlines at substantial discounts
- online full itinerary integration of flights, hotels and cars.

"Webjet customers can now achieve online, major savings on international fares, with full cost plus transparent pricing and substantial savings on all Qantas domestic airfares. This complete online facility is supported and supplemented by video streamed Webcam Consultant Assistant and for domestic and international holiday packages, additional Phone Buy support is available.

"Our extended product range now also includes specialty resort accommodation in Queensland, which is also available online.

"The total new facility represents a major upgrade and we believe moves Webjet further ahead in the provisioning of online Internet travel facilities.
