22nd June 2004

Webjet today announced a continuation and acceleration of consumer acceptance of the new Travel Services Aggregator launched on 14 January.

Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke said: "Current indications are that quarterly gross transaction values to 30 June will fall within the range of $5.6 million to $6 million. Relative to the same quarter last year it represents an approximate 25% increase, and relative to the strong quarter ended 31 March 2004, an increase of between 15-20% is expected.

The continued sales growth is in our view the product of a combination of consumer acceptance of our advanced booking processes, our Channel 10 brand advertising and associated online marketing activities.

During the last few days of domestic airline promotions Webjet has in fact hit a daily all time record of approximately $120,000 in gross transaction values and in the lead up to the school holidays the growth trend is exceptionally strong.

It is clear evidence that the convenience of comparing and buying all airlines from one internet site has major consumer value and appeal. It is important to emphasise that the turnover growth is not at the expense of budgeted margin which has been fully maintained".
