Webjet today announced the highest two week sales period in its history.
Commenting, Webjet's Managing Director, David Clarke said: "prompted by the range of airline promotions currently in the market and the continued exceptional consumer use of the Travel Service Aggregator which delivers all carriers offers on the one screen, Webjet has processed approximately $1.4 million dollars gross transaction values over the last 14 days, an average of $100,000 per day, with three of those days in excess of $125,000, a peak of approximately $140,000.
As indicated to the market on 22 June, gross transaction values for the quarter ended 30 June totalled approximately $5.8 million with $2.3 million billed in June.
This is a clear demonstration that travellers find a special advantage in the convenience of comparing and buying multiple airline offers from the one site".
