One week on to a major national marketing campaign, online travel provider WEBJET has recorded a 400% increase in web site traffic, making it the forthe busiest travel site in Australia.

WEBJET's Managing Director, David Clarke, said today that web site hits had leapt in direct correlation with the start of a national $2.5 million advertising campaign.

"This is a major brand building exercise and our expectations were that it would provide great results - but we weren't anticipating such a huge increase in such a short time," Mr Clarke Said.

"According to Sinewave Interactive - a company that measures and compares web site activitiy across a broad range of industries - WEBJET has become the fastest improving travel site in Australia in the past 10 days."

WEBJET is a pure e-commerce organisation that provides immedediate, accessible, online travel 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the unique selling proposition of the 'lowest Qantas Price Guaranteed'.

The company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange two weeks ago through an agreement with Roper River Resources NL to acquire 100 per cent of WEBJET's issued capital.
