15th August 2001

Webjet, Australia's leading Internet travel specialist, announced today that it had secured a promotional opportunity that will enable it to set up an interactive display site inside the Qantas domestic terminal at Sydney airport.

The promotional site, to be located between gate lounges 5 and 6 across from the Qantas Club, will have computers equipped with full Internet booking capability, along with colourful signage for strong brand identification and will be supported by promotional staff, information leaflets and giveaways.

Commenting, Webjet's Business Development Manager, Dean Maidment, said "the forthcoming promotion was an important part of a strategic package of highly targeted marketing initiatives. Travellers who drive to the airport can see us on a highway billboard. If they catch the train they can see us advertised at Wynard station and once they're at the airport they can see us at the gate lounge. Finally, in case they miss any of that, we're in the Australian Way in-flight magazine. It doesn't get much more targeted than that".

The interactive promotion begins on the 27th of August and will continue for
four weeks.
